The Claimant suffered whiplash injuries to neck
and lower back, blow to chest and right
shoulder. The claimant also sustained a
laceration to tongue requiring stitches – hence
Claimant found it difficult to eat for a week.
At trial, over 3 years later, she was still
aware occasionally of the injury to her tongue.
Claimant unable to drive for 2 months and did
not return to work for 5 months. Duration of
injury and prognosis indicated that whiplash
symptoms continued in neck, shoulder and lower
back some 3 years after the accident. |
