The Claimant suffered whiplash injuries to her
neck and jolting injury to lower back. Other
injuries included psychological injury and a
blow to the right arm. Claimant was absent from
work for two weeks and had difficulty carrying
and lifting her children. Claimant received help
with housework and caring for her children, as a
single parent. Claimant was anxious about
driving. Duration of the whiplash symptoms and
prognosis indicated daily moderate neck pain for
4.5 months with disturbed sleep for 6 months;
neck symptoms were expected to resolve 14.5
months after accident, if physiotherapy
undertaken. Psychological symptoms lasted for 4
weeks. |
