The Claimant suffered a whiplash injury to the
neck and upper back, other symptoms included
headaches. Claimant suffered pain and stiffness
in his neck and upper back, headaches and
tension in his neck muscles, with the headaches
worsening during the course of the day. Claimant
was absent from work for 1 week. Within 8 weeks
there was full resolution of the neck symptoms
and 50% improvement in back problems, with
intermittent mild pain persisting. Back symptoms
persisted for 14 months with reducing severity.
Risk of osteoarthritis in upper spine increased
by about 15%. |
